KUALA LUMPUR: Two men believed to have fired shots at a vehicle driven by Nasaruddin Nasir, commander of the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) in Bukit Kayu Hitam, have been arrested, the home ministry told the Dewan Rakyat today.
Home minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the arrests were made less than 24 hours after the incident.
“Interrogations are ongoing,” the minister said in the lower house, in response to Siti Zailah Yusoff (PN-Rantau Panjang), who asked about the safety of border security officials in the country following the incident.
