Syahredzan Johan says he will use his vice-chairmanship to reach out to Malay voters, who do not traditionally support the party.

SHAH ALAM: The election of two Malay leaders to DAP’s central executive committee (CEC) today shows the party has made progress over the years in terms of diversity, says Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan.

Syahredzan was elected to the CEC alongside Bentong MP Young Syefura Othman after securing 2,065 and 1,943 votes, respectively, from the delegates.

Syahredzan was later appointed as one of the party’s four vice-chairmen while Young Syefura was made assistant publicity secretary.
