A senior officer is among the suspects arrested for allegedly soliciting and accepting cash from a workshop owner.

GEORGE TOWN: Five policemen, including a senior officer, have been arrested by the Penang Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission for allegedly soliciting and accepting RM9,000 in bribes to not take action over a stolen motorcycle case.

According to a source, the men, aged between their 20s and 40s, were detained between 2pm and 5pm today while giving their statements to MACC here.

“A preliminary investigation indicated that all the suspects colluded during an operation in Seberang Perai last Friday.
