The public services department plans to blacklist their next of kin from scholarships until the outstanding payments are settled.

KUALA LUMPUR: The public services department (JPA) has referred 549 cases of JPA scholars defaulting on their loans to the Attorney-General’s Chambers, the Dewan Rakyat was told today.

Federal territories minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa said JPA had issued legal notices for borrowers who defaulted for more than six years, with their cases referred to the AGC for legal action if they still refused to pay.
