They are accused of being members of an organised crime group, and face a maximum sentence of 20 years’ imprisonment if convicted.

BUTTERWORTH: Eight individuals, including two women, appeared in the sessions court here today on charges of being members of an organised crime group known as Geng Adik Labu Besar last year.

The eight accused are Nur Alya Nadhira Che Hassan, 22; Nurul Natasha Shukri, 23; Samerin Shahrom, 35; Aizat Rosmadi, 28; Aizal Abuk Bakar, 23; Zaini Yusoff, 27; Azizi Abd Ghafar, 22; and Fitri Abdul Karim, 31.

No plea was recorded from any of them after the charges were read separately before judge Roslan Hamid, as the case falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
