The world No 4 mixed doubles pair are on track for their second title this year, before the season-ending World Tour Finals in December.

PETALING JAYA: World mixed doubles champions Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei cruised into the finals of the Australian Open today, keeping their hopes of clinching a second title this year alive.

The world No 4 pair beat Thailand’s Pakkapon Teeraratsakul-Sapsiree Taerattanachai 21-16, 21-14 in 49 minutes to set up a final clash with either Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat/Ruttanapak Oupthong of Thailand or Felisha Pasaribu/Jafar Hidayatullah of Indonesia, who are meeting in another semi-final.

It was their first encounter with Pakkapon-Sapsiree, who are ranked 65th in the world.
