SUBANG: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim left for Doha tonight to attend an emergency Arab-Islamic summit on Monday in the Qatari capital.

He is attending the summit at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, following an Israeli attack on buildings in Doha in which three Hamas members and a Qatari security officer were killed.

Anwar is scheduled to deliver Malaysia’s national statement at the summit to reaffirm the country’s stance on the need to end Israel’s blatant violations of international law.
