PETALING JAYA: The body of a Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd worker who was swept away by strong currents while on duty at flood-hit Keningau on Tuesday has been found, the company confirmed.
In a statement, Sabah Electricity extended its condolences to Masedeh Rosmin&#8217;s family and said it would ensure that they received all necessary support, including welfare assistance.
“He will be remembered as a staff member who was highly dedicated in carrying out his duties. May his soul rest in peace and be placed among the righteous.”
The company also thanked all parties involved in the search and rescue operation for the 35-year-old.
“We hope that all parties would recognise the sensitivity of this situation and give some space to the victim’s family,” the firm added.
Two other Sabah Electricity workers were involved in the incident, but managed to escape.
Earlier, a video went viral on social media showing the company’s four-wheel-drive vehicle caught in strong floodwaters. The team was reportedly carrying out repair works after Kampung Nuntunan, Apin-Apin, lost its power supply.
