Acting Penang police chief Alwi Zainal Abidin says they are awaiting further instructions from the deputy public prosecutor.

PETALING JAYA: Penang police have completed their investigation into a “Datuk Seri” who allegedly pistol-whipped a woman in George Town on June 1.

Acting state police chief Alwi Zainal Abidin said they sent the investigation paper to the deputy public prosecutor a month ago.

“We’re just awaiting instructions on our next steps,” Kosmo reported him as saying when asked about the matter in Seberang Perai today.
