The 34-year-old died at the summit of Gunung Liang Barat near Tanjung Malim from hypothermia, an autopsy showed.

IPOH: Police have recorded statements from eight people to assist in an investigation into the death of a climber who was found dead at the summit of Gunung Liang Barat near Tanjung Malim, Perak, on Thursday.

Muallim deputy police chief Suhaimi Muhamad said those called in included climbers who took part in the same expedition as the victim.

“There are still three more climbers whose statements have yet to be recorded. They will be summoned soon to complete the investigation,” Suhaimi told Bernama today.
