KUALA LUMPUR: Police have once again warned organisers not to proceed with a planned protest against the visit of US President Donald Trump, which is scheduled to take place near the Ampang Park MRT station here tomorrow.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Fadil Marsus said alternative venues such as Dataran Merdeka and Padang Merbok were proposed to the organisers but rejected.

He said while police respect the public’s right to assemble, the chosen venue was deemed unsuitable based on intelligence and a joint security assessment with other enforcement agencies.
