Umno election war room chief Ahmad Maslan said those not selected as candidates might get their chances at the next general election.

PETALING JAYA: With a week left before Barisan Nasional announces its candidates for the Sabah state election, Umno has reminded its members not to sabotage those chosen to contest.

Umno election war room secretariat chief Ahmad Maslan said the candidate selection process is at the final stage, with a decision to be made after taking into account various views from Umno’s national and Sabah leaderships.

“Whoever is selected must be accepted. Don’t sabotage them as it would only cost the party in this state election,” Sinar Harian quoted him as saying at an event in Johor.
