GEORGE TOWN: A former Seberang Perai city councillor has lodged a police report over a Facebook post for falsely linking him to the now-defunct Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, and accusing him of inciting religious attacks.
David Marshel said he came across the post at about 1pm today, which he claimed had since gone viral on social media. He said the post was under an account using the name Zamri Vinoth.
He denied the allegations, and said they were false and defamatory and could result in hatred being incited against him.
