R Kunaseegaran says there was a breach of natural justice as the apex court failed to consider his defence.

PUTRAJAYA: A former military doctor sentenced to death for the murder of deputy public prosecutor Kevin Morais 10 years ago will return to the Federal Court in a bid to set aside his conviction.

R Kunaseegaran, in his application filed last week by his solicitors Messrs Cheong & Maman and sighted by FMT, is seeking a rehearing and any other relief the court deems appropriate.

He made the application under Rule 137 of the Federal Court Rules 1995, which allows a party to apply for a review of a Federal Court decision if there has been a serious injustice.
