DUBAI: Low-cost airline flydubai said it signed Wednesday an agreement with Boeing for 75 737 MAX aircraft valued at US$13 billion, a day after announcing a similar deal with Airbus that more than doubled its fleet.
The Dubai-based group has announced orders for more than 200 planes from Boeing and Airbus in two days, as it pursues an expansion plan.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding at the Dubai Airshow, the group said in a statement, “for 75 firm 737 MAX aircraft, valued at US$13 billion, and options for 75 more aircraft”.
