PETALING JAYA: Sabah chief minister Hajiji Noor says he is confident that Gabungan Rakyat Sabah will secure a fresh mandate in the coming 17th state election.
The GRS chairman said with the continued cooperation among its six remaining component parties, the opposition would be unable to match the strength of Sabah’s largest local political coalition, Harian Metro reported.
He expressed appreciation to the leaders of the component parties who have remained loyal to GRS despite two founding members – Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku and the Sabah Progressive Party – leaving the coalition to pursue their own paths ahead of the Nov 29 polls.
