<p>PETALING JAYA: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah has rejected claims the Chinese community in the state has shifted its support to Warisan.</p>
<p>Its information chief, Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan, described Warisan president Shafie Apdal&#8217;s claims as &#8220;far from the current political reality&#8221;, as the community continues to trust the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah government led by chief minister Hajiji Noor.</p>
<p>“The Chinese community is increasingly comfortable with Hajiji&#8217;s leadership, which has a record of stable governance and a focus on people&#8217;s development,” he was quoted by Sabah Media as saying.</p>
<p>Shafie had claimed that the presence of the Chinese community at his party’s dinner in Tawau yesterday was proof of a shift in support.</p>

<p>Nizam said the community judged the government on economic performance and administrative stability, not political rhetoric.</p>
<p>He said Sabah&#8217;s economy was showing improvement, with new investments coming in and business activities picking up.</p>
<p>“This proves that the state government’s policies under Hajiji are effective and are delivering positive results to the people,” the Apas assemblyman said.</p>
