TEHRAN: The Iranian government announced today it was banning exports of all food and agricultural products as the war with Israel and the US raged for a fourth day.
&#8220;The export of all food and agricultural products has been banned until further notice,&#8221; Tasnim news agency said, citing a government statement.
&#8220;The government has prioritised the supply of essential goods for the people,&#8221; it added.
Iran has activated contingency plans since Saturday when the US and Israel launched attacks on the Islamic republic, killing the country&#8217;s supreme leader along with senior military commanders.
