Malaysian shuttlers end the BWF Super 500 event dismally with two mixed doubles pairs losing their quarter-final ties today.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s challenge at the BWF Super 500 Korea Open came to an end with the defeat of two mixed doubles pairs, the country’s only two representatives in the quarter-finals today.

Malaysia’s shuttlers were all knocked out in the early stages in what is said to be their worst performance in this season’s tournaments.

First to fall today were world No 8 pair Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Jemie Lai, who were beaten by China’s world No 1 pair Jiang Zhen Bang-Wei Ya Xin 9-21, 21-18, 8-21 in 41 minutes.
