PETALING JAYA: Umno vice-president and Titiwangsa MP Johari Abdul Ghani has been appointed investment, trade and industry minister in Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s latest Cabinet reshuffle.
Johari, who was the plantation industries and commodities minister, takes over from Tengku Zafrul Aziz, who stepped down upon the end of his second term as senator on Dec 2.
Apart from Johari, two other ministers were given new portfolios, and seven new ministers have been appointed. The shake-up also saw seven deputy ministers swapping portfolios, nine new deputy ministers appointed, while two ministers and a deputy minister have been dropped.
