PETALING JAYA: The road transport department (JPJ) will confiscate vehicles owned by companies and licensed operators that employ foreigners to drive commercial vehicles, effective today.

JPJ’s senior enforcement director Kifli Ma Hassan said this includes lorries, public service vehicles (PSV) and tour buses that use foreign drivers.

He said based on current regulations, foreigners are not allowed to hold vocational licences such as goods driving licences (GDL) or PSV licences.
