KTMB says there were no passengers on board in the 6am incident at the end of the tracks.

BUTTERWORTH: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) confirmed that a Komuter train had derailed at the end of the track at Platform 4 of the Butterworth station early today.

KTMB said there were no passengers in the six coaches in the 6am incident, when it was operating under its daily schedule.

“The KTMB technical team arrived at the location immediately after the incident, and work to remove the coaches is under way to ensure the safety of the area and smooth operations at the station.
