PETALING JAYA: Malaysian shuttlers are featured in seven semi-final matches in the five categories of the SEA Games individual badminton events, assuring them of at least seven bronze medals.

The charge was led by world No 2 women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M Thinaah, who breezed past Thailand’s Benyapa Aimsaard-Sapsiree Taerattanachai 21-11, 21-14 in just 30 minutes in Bangkok today.

Top men’s doubles pairs Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik and Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun also booked semi-final slots at the expense of their Thai opponents, who were backed by a vociferous home crowd.
