Hulu Selangor police chief Ibrahim Husin said a preliminary investigation suggested that the body was likely thrown off a bridge 11.15m high.

KUALA LUMPUR: A post-mortem on a man found dead near the railway tracks at Sungai Serian in Kalumpang, Hulu Selangor, yesterday confirmed that he died from strangulation using a rope.

Hulu Selangor police chief Ibrahim Husin said the victim’s identity has yet to be determined, and the case is being investigated for murder.

“There were strangulation marks on the victim’s neck, believed to have been caused by a rope. The marks are suspected to match the rope (resembling a chain) worn around the victim’s neck,” he said in a statement today.
