A suspect was questioned at the Alor Gajah police station, and his handphone and SIM card seized.

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is probing a Facebook post featuring a doctored image of a Malay daily and a headline claiming Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had admitted that the US reciprocal trade deal was flawed.

In a statement, MCMC said that the image, which featured the Utusan Malaysia logo, was not only false but could also confuse the public.

It said Utusan Malaysia had also denied publishing any article titled “Anwar akui banyak kesilapan perjanjian dengan US”.
