PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) has unanimously resolved to nominate Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin as its candidate for prime minister, party president P Punithan said.
Calling Muhyiddin a “leader accepted by all races”, he also said delegates at MIPP’s annual general assembly today moved to fully support him as chairman of Perikatan Nasional.
“Abah is our choice. We want Abah back to lead the country,” he said, using the former prime minister’s nickname.
