Fahmi Abd Moin says this is based on a ‘casual conversation’ with released volunteers in Istanbul, Turkey.

PETALING JAYA: Some of the 23 Malaysian volunteers on the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) humanitarian mission to Gaza claim they were slapped in the face, had their hair pulled, and were given “animal food” while in Israeli custody.

One of the lawyers representing the 23 activists, Fahmi Abd Moin, said this after a “casual conversation” with them in Istanbul, Turkey.

“They said they were treated badly. Their hair was pulled, they were slapped in the face, and given food which, by their description, was meant for animals.
