The religious affairs minister praises Universal Music Malaysia for their ‘discernment and responsibility’.

PETALING JAYA: Religious affairs minister Na’im Mokhtar has thanked music label Universal Music Malaysia for taking down a music video by Malaysian girl group Dolla from all their official platforms.

He said the takedown showed the label’s “discernment and responsibility” and reflected the industry’s sensitivity to community voices and “shared values”.

“May this inspire all entertainment industry players to create with a deeper sense of responsibility and care for the community,” Kosmo reported him as saying today.
