KUALA LUMPUR: PKR has not given the party&#8217;s Sabah members any directive on which party they should back in seats where Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Barisan Nasional (BN) are clashing in the state polls.
PKR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh said the central leadership would decide which side to take in the relevant constituencies based on the individual candidates&#8217; chances of winning.
She added that the decision on which candidates to endorse would be made &#8220;when the time comes&#8221;.
&#8220;At the moment, there&#8217;s no blanket order. We do it on a case-by-case basis, depending on which one is more winnable,&#8221; Fuziah told reporters after officiating the Asean E-Commerce Conference 2025 at Grand Hyatt Hotel here today.
She later told FMT that PKR respects its tripartite partnership with GRS and BN, as well as the autonomy of their grassroots to support either party.
&#8220;We celebrate the political dynamic in Sabah,&#8221; she added. 
Pakatan Harapan (PH), of which PKR is a component, had reached separate electoral pacts with BN and GRS for the Nov 29 election in Sabah.
BN and GRS are clashing in multiple seats.
Last Friday, a PKR branch pledged its support for the BN candidate in Tempasuk, where GRS has also fielded a candidate.
Tempasuk PKR information chief Aziz Bilin said the decision was made after considering the cooperation between PH and BN at the federal level.
There will be a seven-cornered contest in Tempasuk with GRS’s Arsad Bistari seeking to defend his seat, having won it in the 2020 state election on a BN ticket.
