PUTRAJAYA: The government will not hold any open house for Hari Raya Aidilfitri and will reduce the number of trips abroad as part of saving funds in view of the economic impact of the Middle East conflict.
At a press conference today, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said government-linked companies and government-linked investment companies have also been ordered not to hold Aidilfitri open houses.
Anwar said this was merely a cautious measure to spend prudently in view of the potential impact of the conflict.
