The association’s acting president V Subramaniam says it can only remind its players and staff to avoid betting and match-fixing.

PETALING JAYA: The Badminton Association of Malaysia said it did not have the means to keep tabs on whether national shuttlers were involved in betting or match-fixing.

The association’s acting president V Subramaniam said it could merely remind its players and staff to avoid such activities, the New Straits Times reported.

“From time to time, we conduct briefings for all our shuttlers and officers to stay away from illegal activities such as betting and match-fixing,” he was quoted as saying.
