The national oil firm secures production-sharing contracts for Blocks 9 and 10, expanding its footprint in the Suriname-Guyana Basin.

KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Suriname E&P BV (PSEPBV), a wholly owned subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Bhd, has signed production sharing contracts (PSCs) for Blocks 9 and 10 in the shallow offshore region of Suriname.

The national oil and gas company said the agreements were signed with Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname NV (Staatsolie), Paradise Oil Company NV (POC), and consortium partners Chevron Suriname Exploration Ltd (Chevron) and QatarEnergy International E&P LLC (QatarEnergy).

“The PSCs were awarded as part of the Suriname Post Shallow Offshore 2 Bid Round 2024-2025, following the consortium’s successful bid,” it said in a statement today.
