PETALING JAYA: The Putrajaya MRT line has resumed normal service as of 5.27pm following a disruption due to three people having intruded on the rail line in a suspected cable theft attempt.

In a statement, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd said the intrusion was reported around 2.24pm somewhere between the Sri Damansara Barat and Sri Damansara Sentral stations.

“The individuals are suspected to have been involved in an attempt to steal cables at the location. As a precautionary measure, power to the tracks was cut to allow auxiliary policemen to check the area and locate the suspects.
