The local note edges up to 4.1255/4.1395 as expectations of a US rate cut pressure the greenback.

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar on Thursday as the greenback tracked the US Dollar Index, which remained below the 100-point mark.

At 8am, the ringgit strengthened to 4.1255/1395 versus the US dollar from Wednesday’s close of 4.1360/1385.
