KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit snapped four consecutive days of gains to close slightly lower against the US dollar on Wednesday as some traders took profit.

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said the ringgit performed extremely well today, nonetheless, as it continued to gain against other currencies.
