PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s surprise mixed doubles pair Jimmy Wong-Lai Pei Jing’s remarkable run at the Macau Open ended in the final today after losing to Denmark’s Alexandra Boje-Mathias Christiansen.

The world No 127 duo, who were paired off only five months ago, lost 12-21, 16-21 to the more experienced Danes in 44 minutes.

Jimmy-Pei Jing take home US$14,060 (RM60,188) as runners-up in the BWF World Tour Super 300 event.
