KUALA LUMPUR: National squash champion S Sivasangari and 2023 World Junior Squash Championships runner-up Aira Azman checked into the last eight of the Qatar Classic 2025 in Doha today.
Seventh seed Sivasangari came out tops against Nele Gilis of Belgium 11-8, 11-8, 11-5 in 34 minutes in the second round of the tournament held at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
A tough test awaits Sivasangari next as she is set to play second seed Hania El Hammamy after the 2023 champion from Egypt came from a set down to beat Jasmine Hutton of England 8-11, 11-6, 11-2, 11-9.
