Deputy human resources minister Abdul Rahman Mohamad says an investigation is being conducted under Section 15(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.

PETALING JAYA: The temporary East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) structure along Jalan MRR2 near Batu Caves that collapsed yesterday may have been struck by a skylift boom used for paint inspection, deputy human resources minister Abdul Rahman Mohamad said today.

Rahman said the task was carried out without a written work permit from the main contractor, according to findings from an initial investigation by the department of occupational safety and health (DOSH).

A work prohibition notice had since been issued to the contractor involved.
