The Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement thanks the public for their support, and says the balance will go towards advocacy events.

PETALING JAYA: The Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement has exceeded its crowdfunding target to support a UN advocacy trip to Geneva, after receiving RM83,302 in donations within 24 hours.

This brings the total amount raised to RM122,377, the group said in a statement today.

The funds will be used to support Teoh Lee Lan’s effort to file a complaint with the United Nations Special Rapporteurs on Human Rights in Geneva regarding the death of her brother, former political aide Beng Hock, in 2009.
