Starmart Express responds to a complaint from a visually impaired passenger who lost a bag containing valuables which was stored in the luggage compartment.

PETALING JAYA: An express bus company says passengers are responsible for the safety and security of their luggage as the company should not be held responsible for any loss or damage.

An official at the Starmart Express Sdn Bhd head office in Taiping said this clause was clearly stated at the back of the tickets it issued.

The official was commenting on a complaint by a passenger that one of their two bags, containing valuables and some cash, was missing when the bus reached Taiping from Kuala Lumpur.
