This is the 10th semi-final appearance for the top seeds in the World Tour circuit this year.

PETALING JAYA: World mixed doubles champions Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei cruised into the semi-finals of the Australian Open today, marking their 10th last-four appearance this year.

The world No 4 pair took 36 minutes to send Taiwan’s Ye Hong Wei-Nicole Gonzales Chan packing with a 21-17, 21-15 win in Sydney.

It was their fourth win against the Taiwanese pair in five encounters so far.
