The education minister says safety remains a top priority following the death of 13-year-old Zara Qairina Mahathir, allegedly linked to bullying in Sabah.

PETALING JAYA: The education ministry has assured parents that boarding schools under its supervision remain safe, with continuous efforts being made to strengthen safety and maintain a conducive learning environment.

Education minister Fadhlina Sidek said student safety is a top priority, and the ministry remains committed to upgrading safety protocols in residential schools.

“There is no need to worry. We are taking all necessary steps to ensure these institutions remain safe,” she was quoted as saying by Kosmo.
