KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group Holdings Bhd has dismissed claims circulating online about a data breach, saying they are false and that customer data continues to be protected.

In a post on X, the financial services provider said its security teams had verified that all systems were secure.

Earlier, allegations surfaced of a high-risk cybersecurity incident targeting Malaysia’s financial sector, with claims that CIMB Bank customers were affected.
