<p>PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has asked the home ministry to cancel the passport of Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin’s son-in-law, Adlan Berhan.</p>
<p>MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki said efforts were ongoing to track down Adlan, who is being sought by the anti-graft agency to assist in a probe into a ministry&#8217;s foreign worker biometric data project.</p>
<p>&#8220;We filed the application yesterday and hope that the home ministry will approve the application,&#8221; he said, according to Berita Harian.</p>
<p>He said Adlan is currently said to be in a West Asian country with which Malaysia has no extradition agreement.</p>

<p>&#8220;Nonetheless, we are trying to negotiate with the said country on how we can bring (Adlan) back here.&#8221;</p>
<p>Adlan and his lawyer, Mansoor Saat, are being sought by MACC to assist in an investigation into a project involving the registration, recruitment and storage of foreign worker biometric data at a ministry.</p>
<p>Although MACC previously indicated that Adlan and Mansoor had left the country in May 2024, both men subsequently denied being on the run from the law.</p>
