BAKU: Malaysia has pledged to continue advancing the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) global mandate as the country sets its sights on securing re-election to the ITU Council for the 2027-2030 term.
When delivering Malaysia’s statement at the high-level segment of the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2025 (WTDC-25), communications minister Fahmi Fadzil said Malaysia will continue to promote universal and affordable connectivity through collaboration.
He said Malaysia would also focus on strengthening digital trust and cybersecurity resilience, advancing capacity-building and digital skills for all, as well as deepening regional and multi-stakeholder cooperation towards an inclusive digital economy.
