KUALA LUMPUR: An unemployed man was sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to a charge of intending to insult the modesty of a woman by installing a hidden camera in a toilet of an apartment unit.

P Naagiran, 28, was also fined RM5,000 by the magistrates’ court here after pleading guilty to recording and possessing hundreds of obscene images and videos on his mobile phone.

Magistrate Amira Abd Aziz ordered Naagiran to serve his prison term from today. Failure to pay the fine will result in an additional 12 months in jail.
