RMAF chief Norazlan Aris says the team will be carrying out a thorough evaluation before a decision is made on the proposed acquisition.

PETALING JAYA: A technical team from the Royal Malaysian Air Force is expected to visit Kuwait next month to evaluate the 38 F/A-18 Legacy Hornet fighter jets which RMAF is looking to acquire.

RMAF chief Norazlan Aris said the team will carry out a thorough evaluation before a decision is made on the proposed acquisition from the Kuwait Air Force, reported Bernama.

The assessment will include delivery timelines, acquisition and maintenance costs, to ensure the aircraft remains viable for long-term operations.
