PETALING JAYA: There will be no lockdown, only an enhanced security deployment in central Kuala Lumpur, when the Asean summit meeting is held on Aug 26-28, a senior police official said today.
Fisol Salleh, a deputy director at Bukit Aman, urged the public, especially motorists, to fully cooperate with the police throughout the security control operation period.
“Traffic police will provide updates from time to time. This is not a total lockdown, but an enhanced security deployment. I urge all road users to give their full cooperation,” he said.
