PETALING JAYA: Penampang Upko wants party president Ewon Benedick to resign from the Cabinet if the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) files an appeal against the ruling recognising Sabah’s right to receive 40% of federal revenue derived from the state.

The call was made during the division’s convention today, chaired by Donald Peter Mojuntin, which passed a resolution supporting the Kota Kinabalu High Court’s judgment in the judicial review filed by the Sabah Law Society (SLS) concerning the 40% revenue entitlement, Borneo Daily Bulletin reported.

The convention also adopted a resolution urging Putrajaya to comply with the court’s decision and to reach an agreement within 180 days regarding the payment of the revenue share.
