Police say the 2-year-old boy’s father found him in the water unconscious after he disappeared from their room.

PETALING JAYA: A two-year-old boy drowned after he wandered off and was later found unconscious in the swimming pool of a homestay in Teluk Kumbar, George Town, Penang, last night, say police.

In a statement today, Barat Daya police chief Sazalee Adam said the child, Luthfan Harraz Azali, was found floating in the pool by his father and a friend at around 10.30pm.

“The boy was believed to have gone missing from their room and was later found unconscious in the swimming pool of a homestay in Teluk Kumbar,” he said.
